Key MTO configuration points

Material master — MRP 3Strategy group 20 (make-to-order) on the finished good. Item category group 0001 in the sales view → sales order item category TAK.
Requirement type KE vs KEKKE = non-valuated sales order stock (costs collect on the sales order; needs results analysis and settlement). KEK = valuated sales order stock — more common in S/4HANA.
Schedule line category CPPasses demand from the sales order to MRP; each sales order gets its own MRP segment.
Account assignment ERequisitions and POs created by MRP are linked to the sales order item; goods receipt posts directly to special stock E.
Movement types101 E (GR PO / prod. order), 261 E (issue to order), 601 E (PGI) — all against sales order stock.
Settlement chainProduction order → sales order, then sales order → CO-PA; with non-valuated stock, month-end results analysis is also required.

Note: Several Admin and HR activities (gate entry, shift roster) run outside standard SAP or in custom developments — adjust them to the client's landscape. India-specific steps (e-invoice IRN, e-way bill, India payroll) are shown for GST compliance.
